Overview
What the Tokens API v1 covers, how it is organised, and where to start.
The Tokens API v1 is a JSON HTTP API for registered Solana assets: canonical asset groups such as solana, usd or tesla, the Solana mints that represent them (their variants), and the market, chart, risk and news data around them.

Call Tokens servers directly. You do not deploy your own copy of the API; if you want a proxy for key management or caching, your proxy calls https://api.tokens.xyz/v1/... upstream.
What v1 does
- Discover assets. Search by text, browse curated lists, or read the trending set.
- Resolve any reference. Map an
assetId, alias or Solana mint to its registered asset and variant, and use theassetIdto group balances that represent the same thing. - Read one asset in depth. Identity, aggregate stats, the primary variant, every variant grouped by kind, and optional
includeblocks for profile, risk, OHLCV and markets in one call. - Market primitives. Per-mint market snapshots (single and batch), DEX markets, exchange tickers.
- Charts. Per-mint OHLCV candles and a canonical price chart per asset.
- Risk. A quick 0 to 100 market-based score per mint, detailed scoring inputs, operator advisories, and stablecoin peg and structural health.
- News. A filterable feed of market news and
@tokensposts, global or per token.
v1 serves registered assets only. A mint that is not a variant of a registered asset returns 404 with details.code: "asset_not_registered" on every asset route; the batch endpoints keep a null row for it instead. To track other tokens, use Token Lists in API v2. See Assets and variants.
